Lecture 2 examines a different kind of undisciplined attention, making the case that it too can be either “low” or “high,” and that either form can be not only pleasantly lackadaisical, but also beneficial in ways that are sidelined and often maligned by characterizing this undisciplined mode of attention as “distractible.”
