I received my Ph.D. from the University of Michigan, and my B.A. from Oberlin College. Before coming to Rutgers in fall 2018, I taught at Cornell for 11 years. I have also taught at Princeton, was a visiting associate professor at NYU for a semester, and did a postdoc at the Australian National University. I work primarily in contemporary metaphysics, and dabble in philosophy of mind. I recently wrote a book called Making Things Up, a title of which I am rather proud.
