Biography

I went to college at the University of Buenos Aires and got my PhD from MIT. Before coming to Rutgers, I taught at the University of Arizona and the University of Wisconsin, Madison. I work on various issues at the intersection of metaphysics, ethics, and the philosophy of action—topics like the nature of causation, agency, free will, and moral responsibility, among others. I am author of Causation and Free Will, and co-author (with Bob Kane) of Do We Have Free Will? A Debate.
